Configuring Your Domain for Launch

When it comes time to launch your site, the following outlines the steps you will need to take in order to make your site live.

Step 1

The first step will be to make a change in the DNS Record within your Domain Portfolio area.  This is required before you can begin creating a site.

To start, the only records you should have are the two NS records and a SOA record.  If you have any A or CNAME records, those will need to be deleted.

We will provide you with a CNAME record to enter.  This record must be entered exactly as provided, including the trailing "." .  When this step is complete, we will verify the record on our side.  

Step 2

The second step is required to make your site live for the public.  Note that we request 48 hours notice for this.

To complete setup, we will make a configuration change in our system and generate the final CNAME information to be appended to your domain record.  From this, you will create a new CNAME record with the details provided.

Next, you will switch to the Forwarding tab and click to add a domain.

• Domain: Enter your domain.
• Destination: Select https://
• Type: Permanent (301)
• TTL: Leave on defaut

Once complete, your domain will be correctly configured and your should be live within a matter of minutes.
