Configuring Your Domain for Launch

When it comes time to launch your site, the following outlines the steps you will need to take in order to make your site live.

Step 1

The first step will be to make a change in the DNS Record within your Domain Portfolio area.  This is required before you can begin creating a site.

To start, the only records you should have are the two NS records and a SOA record.  If you have any A or CNAME records, those will need to be deleted.

We will provide you with a CNAME record to enter.  This record must be entered exactly as provided, including the trailing "." .  When this step is complete, we will verify the record on our side.

This can be completed at any point prior to launch.  

The following steps should be completed only once you are ready to go live.  We request a minimum 48 hours advance notice to allow us to plan the necessary resources.

Step 2

On the DNS Records tab, click to create a new CNAME record.

• Type: CNAME
• Name: www
• Data: We will send you this record.  It is unique per site and must be entered as we provide it.
• TTL: 1 hour

Step 3

Switch to the Forwarding tab and click to add a forwarding.

• Domain: Enter your domain.  Do not include https://www.
• Destination: Select https://
• Type: Permanent (301)
• TTL: Leave on defaut

Once complete, your domain will be correctly configured and your should be live within a matter of minutes.
